We recently dealt with a successful appeal for a two-storey side extension and single-storey rear extension to a detached house which was designed by CIAO Architects.
The planning authority had refused the extension on the grounds of the impact on neighbour amenity, in particular loss of outlook and overshadowing. We prepared a Statement of Case in which we argued that the planning authority’s reasons for refusal were unjustified. The inspector agreed with the case that we set out and granted full planning permission.
