We were approached by clients wishing to secure planning permission for a new house within their garden in Wandsworth. The local planning authority however had very strong policies to prevent the building of new houses within gardens. We proposed a carefully considered strategy whereby we approached the challenge in small steps. Working with CCASA Architects, a high-quality design was developed which worked well in context. Inevitably, Wandsworth did not support this garden development but with a compelling case we appealed the decision and planning permission was granted. We are delighted that the project is now on site.
