Upwards extension to create new flats on Highgate block
Make an enquiryWorking with Douglas and King Architects, our client wished to secure planning consent to build three luxury apartments on top of an existing mixed use building in a highly-prominent location within the Highgate Conservation Area. The local amenity society takes a particularly active interest in development proposals within the conservation area. In view of this we arranged to meet with their representatives at an early stage in the design development in order to discuss our proposals and give them an opportunity to articulate any concerns that they may have had. Following a very constructive dialogue, and subsequent minor amendments to the proposed scheme, the support of the amenity society was secured. The planning application was approved on first submission to the local planning authority.
